This is the contect of the email the client sent me; As I mentioned, the chassis and underside is probably in a shocking state. Car starts and drives but one brake pipe has burst so doesn’t stop terribly well. Engine is in excellent condition as I rebuilt it about 5,000 miles ago (and 10 years ago!). Front seats have also been really nicely re-covered in leather. The rest – well… I have loads of spares with it still I hope. It is at the back of the warehouse.
If it is of any use to you, you are more than welcome to borrow it and offer it for sale with a full restoration!
The features I remember Monteverdi adding are:
5 doors
Air conditioning
Leather interior
Axminster carpets
Overdrive
It was sold through Land Rover dealerships with a full warranty and was listed in their parts catalogues. I remember being able to order Monteverdi specific parts.
The owner wants to see the car restored and to go a good home. So not to break or dismantle and the new owner if agreeing to undertake the abov may have a bargain.
